Texas Pain Research Consortium

Texas Pain Research Consortium

Founded in 2015 and co-chaired by Dr. Ted Price, the Texas Pain Research Consortium (TPRC) was formed to bring together the leading pain scientists from universities across Texas. The purpose of TPRC is to strengthen and promote pain research in Texas on the international stage. Additionally, membership in TPRC is an opportunity for scientists across Texas to collaborate on multi-PI grants and projects.

Currently, TPRC has over 40 members representing almost every university in the state of Texas. To date, TPRC members have been awarded nearly $400 million dollars in federal funded grants to study pain and opioid use. The Texas Pain Research Consortium hosts a biennial conference to discuss research advancements and plan for future goals.
