Our Research
We focus on chronic pain and migraine research. We collaborate with colleagues around the world from different scientific disciplines to make advancements in the basic science of pain and migraine. Our overarching goal is the development of new therapeutics.
Chronic Pain

Chronic pain affects 1.5 billion people across the globe. We are discovering and developing new therapeutics.
Migraine

Migraine affects 39 million people in the US and 1 billion worldwide. We aim to uncover the mechanisms that cause migraines.
Neuroimmunology

We focus on how the immune system interacts with the nervous system to cause chronic pain in animal models and patients.
RNA

Changes in gene expression drive chronic pain. Therapeutic manipulation of RNA biology is a key drug discovery target.
